As a 21st century home, Maison Papillon incorporates several sustainable development initiatives that celebrate ancestral Caribbean culture and lifestyle and safeguard the environment. The home’s gardens were designed around existing mature trees and vegetation while indigenous tropical plants and shrubs were used to eliminate the need for harsh chemicals and abundant watering. The stone oven in the Mediterranean courtyard can be used to bake traditional Caribbean bread wrapped in banana leaf and the vegetable and herb gardens evoke centuries-old West Indian customs. Magnificent outdoor tables made from recycled glass adorn both the roof and pool decks and provide a stunning setting for dining under the stars. Renewable green energy systems are earmarked for the Maison Papillon’s second phase of development.

A classic Mediterranean front courtyard features a traditional stone oven and an herb garden and offers visitors their first glance at the many inspired accents throughout the house. The grand entryway opens up to at once reveal a breathtaking view of the home’s interior and exterior living spaces, as well as the Caribbean Sea with its many shades of blue and turquoise. The living room, dining room and kitchen are open and airy and appointed with muted contemporary art-deco designer furnishings and eclectic sculptures and art pieces.
Maison Papillon’s open design allows a constant view to the swimming pool and outer deck areas to create a seamless indoor-outdoor living setting. A piano graces the entrance to the stylish living room area and small reading nooks are tucked away throughout the house for private reflections and tranquility. The master bedroom opens up gracefully onto the pool and deck areas and features a spacious walk in closet and luxurious bathroom. The children’s rooms each provide private full bathrooms complete with massage showerheads.
A one bedroom guest suite downstairs offers an additional private sleeping, cooking, dining and lounging space; the perfect haven for visitors or as a complement to family chambers.

For the sports and fitness enthusiast, this exquisite home also offers a spacious private gym that is outfitted with a wide range of cardio and resistance training equipment, table tennis, a beverage center and a lounge area with oversized washable suede sofas. A basketball court is located on the lower level and future plans include a professional grade tennis court that will be lit for day and night play.
